Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
The LCA is tailored to your needs. Thanks to our experience, we can carry out from streamlined to more complete LCAs. Here’s an outline of our methodology and how we propose to approach each stage of the methodology.
1.1: Goal
The first step in LCA is to define the objective of the study. This will help to select the right standards (EPD, PEF, ISO,…) that will define the requirements for the rest of the study.
Why are we doing the study ? Which standard should we follow ?
1.2: Scope
After selecting the standard, we use the right product category rules (PCR, PEFCR, IEC, …) to define the scope of the study.
What do we need to include ?
2: Inventory
Based on our experience, we propose a custom excel-based tool to collect the data and generate the final results and reports.
How to use the data I already have ? How to make sure this work will still be valuable in a year ?
3: Impact assessment
We calculate impacts using the inventory and standard impact categories such as carbon footprint, water use and more …
What does these results mean ? How can we use them ?
4: Interpretation
Together, we dive deep into the results to understand the causes of impact and take meaningful action to improve the solution.
Where does the carbon footprint of my business come from ? How can I reduce it ?
Product Carbon Footprint (PCF)
The product carbon footprint is the total mass of CO2e emissions generated throughout the lifecycle of a product, including its production, transportation, usage, and disposal. Various methodologies and standards exist to calculate this indicator. The most common standard is the ISO 14067.
